Instructions:
1. Using a small square of double-sided tape, stick two foil-wrapped Hershey's Kisses together (bottom to bottom).
2. Cut cellophane in 4-inch squares.
3. Place the tip of one of the kisses in the center of the square.
4. Wrap the cellophane around both kisses, gathering the corners together around the tip of the other kiss.
5. Wrap the gathered corners together tightly.
6. Insert florist wire into the gathered cellophane until it touches the tip of the Hershey's Kiss (Don't let the wire pierce the candy.)
7. Tape the "rosebud" onto the wire with the florist tape.
8. Tape the length of the wire with the tape until completely covered.
9. If desired, tape silk rose leaves onto the stem or use a ribbon bow for decoration.
Project #2: Embroidered Lace Handkerchiefs or Hand Towels
1. Purchase handkerchiefs or towels in bulk online in your wedding colors.
2. Use your sewing machine (or hand embroider) the initial of the last name of the groom on a corner of the handkerchief or towel in a coordinating color.
3. Roll up the handkerchief or towel in scroll fashion and wrap with a ribbon.
Project #3: Miniature Soaps
1. Purchase unscented glycerin soap blocks.
2. Melt in the microwave (use food coloring and essential oils, if desired).
3. Pour the heated glycerin into chocolate molds, paper cups or anything you choose that will mold the soap.
4. After at least 20 minutes, you can release the soaps from the molds.
5. Be creative with how you present your soaps. You can decorate plastic boxes for containers, fill organza bags, or fill votive candle holders with them.
Project #4: Decoupage Glass Plates
1. Purchase clear glass plates. Look for them in Dollar stores, discount stores or online. They can be found as inexpensive as three for a dollar.
2. Tear plain paper into pieces and write whatever you want to convey on them (for example, "Love," or "Mr. and Mrs. Xxxx").
3. Decoupage the torn paper pieces onto each plate.
4. Using the "sponging" technique, sponge gold paint over the entire plate.
Keep in mind several factors before you select the favor that's best for your wedding. Look at your budget, the style or theme of wedding you're having, and the number of wedding guests. Also, determine what you might enjoy receiving as a wedding favor.
